Merlin Olsen: Hall of Fame Football Defensive Tackle

Merlin Olsen was a Hall of Fame professional football defensive tackle who played for 15 seasons from 1962 to 1976.

In college, Olsen played for Utah State University in Logan Utah.

Professionally, Olsen played for the Los Angeles Rams.

In 1962, he was named NFL Rookie of the Year.
In 1968, he was named Pro Bowl Co-MVP.
In 1974, he received the Bert Bell Award.

Olsen was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1982.

He was named NFL 75th Anniversary All-Time Team, was named NFL 1970s All-Decade Team, was named NFL 1960s All-Decade Team and was named Rams #74 Retired.
